
During the 2007-08 academic year, Columbia State's reach and influence went far beyond traditional lectures, notes and tests. The faculty and staff taught the students how to "pay it forward" by participating in numerous charitable activities. The activities ranged from collecting yogurt lids to support cancer research, to raising funds for the National Kidney Foundation. Read the full release.

The new Film Crew Technology program starts July 1 in Franklin. Sign up now! Be trained as a motion picture technician in just 12 months. Students can learn the latest technology in lighting, grip and digital cinematography, including the RED Camera system. Graduates will be certified for employment in the movie industry. Our program was developed by and is instructed by working industry professionals, giving our graduates an employable advantage. Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2008. Nearly 600 students from the nine-county service area received a certificate or degree. Many students were honored for academic excellence in the 2007-2008 term. A photo gallery of graduation images is currently under construction, check back in a few weeks.
